Happy Mother's Day, Mom!

How out of touch could I possibly be?

Because of the storm, I lost track of time.  Really...it's true.

We don't have cable at our house but we do have internet.  When our power went off last week, (for almost a week) I wasn't thinking about Mother's day but as time went on, I started wondering when it was.  I knew it was in the month of May and I thought it was after my mother's birthday on the 16th.  I had the card and the gift all ready to send off.  Thursday, after the work flurry died down (you know what it's like when you've been away from work for a week and you have to play 'catch-up') I took a minute to ask Google when Mother's Day for 2011 is.  I was sadly surprised to find out that it was three days away.  OK, that was 2 mailing days so I BLEW IT.  I am the WORST daughter in the world.

I read Mom her mother's day card on Friday so she would at least hear it and know that I really had thought of her.  I also got her some Farmville gift cards for her playing enjoyment.

So, Mom...know that I love you and think about you a lot and always pray that you are happy and content in whatever activities you are currently 'into'.  We are looking forward to seeing you in TN next weekend and we will spend some time laughing and enjoying ourselves while we're together.

(Bellsouth is having internet connection problems still so we are up and down today with the internet.  I am working feverishly to get this posted before it goes down again.)

  1. It's true. She found a nice card, was all excited about sending it (and the gift) and ooops! She really meant to have it to you on time, but, I guess this just wasn't the year!

    Happy Mother's Day!

    Love Ya!

  2. Hey, Y'all,
Happy Mother's day to You, too, Teresa, and Tom, thanks for the personal note there and the wishes.
I would much rather you all be safe than worrying about a mother's day card. It has been a really nice one so far. Loven' youn's forever. Mom.

  3. She loved your call. You did good! Seeing her next week is better than TEN cards on time! Love you!
