Is Your Life Ever Changing? God is Never Changing...

Wow...it's been a while since I've been here.

Life is moving right along.  My hair is growing, my health is improving, and my waist is growing.  Yeah, I've gained a couple of pounds since chemo but that's ok.  I am enjoying the taste of food again.  It's all good.

I had my colonoscopy done yesterday and the doctor said it was the best intestines he's ever seen.  Not a single polyp.  Whoo whoo!

They wheeled me back to the 'room' where the procedure was going to be done and were waiting for the anesthesiologist to show up and in pops the doctor.  He says "Are we ready to go?" and I lifted my head up and said, "I don't think so...I'm not asleep yet and you're not starting until I am completely asleep."  They all had a big laugh about that.  I wasn't joking though....

I got cheated though. Instead of the good anesthesia that everyone says they wake up from and feel like they've had the best sleep ever, I had to have a different anesthesia because the other would have reacted adversely to some of the other meds I am on. So I woke up all groggy feeling.

Ah well, such is life.

So, bottom line (REALLY...no pun intended there, Mom) I don't have to have another one done for five years.  I was VERY glad to hear that.  With each good report on my body, I feel hope.  8-)

So, if you're having one of those days where you feel like someone has moved your cheese and life is changing too much and too quickly, try to remember the following words from Max:

"Middle C

By Max Lucado

“From everlasting to everlasting you are God.” Psalm 90:2

You and I need a middle C. Haven’t you had enough change in your life? Relationships change. Health changes. The weather changes. But the Yahweh who ruled the earth last night is the same Yahweh who rules it today. Same convictions. Same plan. Same mood. Same love. He never changes. You can no more alter God than a pebble can alter the rhythm of the Pacific. Yahweh is our Middle C. A still point in a turning world."
